One of those task is converting MKV video. I've been struggling on converting/demuxing MKV file(s) (without the long wait of transcoding video codec) to play on my PS3. Well yeah, there's TVersity, VisualHub (no longer exist) or PS3 Media Server for the Mac.

For a Windows user, the answer is quite simple, just use MKV2VOB. Select the file you want to mux, wait & you're done. Since most HD video are encoded using the awesome H.264/AVC codec, I found it difficult to watch a movie within the MKV container & watch it on my PS3 without converting/transcoding (which can take several tens of minutes to convert), since it doesn't support the format.

Although transcoding works on the above mentioned uPnP/DLNA applications, it sometimes chokes when the scenes gets a little bit rough & takes a lot CPU power. And if you use VisualHub, it'll not preserve the HD resolution you want. And owning an Full-HD TV, it great to watch your favourite TV-Show or Movie in HD with great PQ.

After long searching & scouring the internet for best possible solution, I've found out that I already know the answer. Before proceeding, the only downfall is, if your video contain 5.1 sound, it will be changed to stereo (but you'll conserve space because of this & in my regard a minor tradeoff) .

We are often told that the current financial meltdown is the most serious since the Great Depression. And while that may be true, comparing today’s times to such an awful and demoralizing crisis has the effect of scaring people, thereby making the situation worse. This is the wrong way to react to the situation. Rather than passively absorbing fear and uncertainty, we would do well to remember that some people managed to stay afloat during the Great Depression - and to learn how they did it. In that vein, here are 16 Depression-era money saving tips and how they can be utilized today.

Matt Stone and Trey Parker, the creators of South Park, were given a signed photo of Saddam Hussein by US marines after the former Iraqi leader was shown their movie in prison.

During his captivity, US marines forced Saddam, who was executed in 2006, to repeatedly watch the move South Park: Bigger, Longer And Uncut, which shows him as gay, as well as the boyfriend of Satan. He was also regularly depicted in a similar manner during the TV series.

The admission comes with the show's 13th season already running in the US. It will celebrate its 12th anniversary later this year.

Below are maps from a study, called “The Geography of Buzz.” The authors, Elizabeth Currid, an assistant professor in the School of Policy, Planning and Development at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, and Sarah Williams, the director of the Spatial Information Design Lab at Columbia University‘s Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation, mined thousands of photographs from Getty Images that chronicled flashy parties and smaller affairs on both coasts for a year, beginning in March 2006. The maps show the density of different types of cultural events in New York and Los Angeles.
